Excursions from Andratx
September is here and many of you have already decided to keep your towels and sunscreens until next year. Despite the mild temperatures and sunny days, your thoughts are already drifting away from the beach. The marathon days with sun, salt, boats and tanned skin are becoming increasingly rare.
The routine, the blissful routine, takes its toll on the beach lovers. The return to school, to the office and to everyday life seems to herald the arrival of autumn and the “sealess” plans.
If you are one of those people who have already swapped sandals for hiking boots, no problem. Mallorca is the island where all plans are possible.
We at Mon Port, declared lovers of sport and nature, suggest three excursions that start from Andratx or the surrounding area. You're guaranteed to forget all your worries while hiking.
1. Around the Puig de Garrafa
We have no doubt: Puig de Garrafa is one of the most beautiful viewpoints on Mallorca's west coast. For this reason, we suggest an easy hike that leads along a circular path through various natural landscapes.
Despite the ups and downs, it is a recommended excursion for the whole family. You will be able to enjoy natural viewpoints with incredible views of the islands of Malgrat, Cap Andritxol and Camp de Mar. Just wonderful.

2. Excursion to Cala D'Egos from Port d'Andratx
For those who are in the mood for mountains and the beach, here is a proposal that combines both.
Cala d'Egos is a virgin bay, beautiful, natural and made of pebble stones, which you can reach after an excursion of about 40 minutes. Since it is not as easy to reach as other bays, it is an idyllic and quiet corner.
First you have to reach Port d'Andratx and find the street Carrer de Cala d'Egos and follow it until it joins a field path.
There you can park the car and start the route.
In the first section you will have a wonderful view of the coast. Then the path turns temporarily inland. After about 15-20 minutes from the beginning of the route you will come to a crossroads where you have to take the path on the left. After a steep descent of about 15 minutes you will reach Cala d'Egos.
In summary, after about 35 minutes you will reach a virgin bay with crystal clear water and hypnotic calm.
A bath after a walk is always the best reward.
3. Port d’Andratx – Sant Elm
It's a very easy hike. At certain points along the route you have to follow the "fitas" and choose the right path from the various routes available.
However, the view is absolutely breath-taking and ensures that you won't regret anything after starting the route.
