Waiting is not easy. Waiting with no certainty or deadlines. Waiting when one is looking forward to changing and moving.
For example, waiting for 9 months of pregnancy, for the summer to come, or for our turn in an endless queue. Waiting for a call, for a verdict, or for the holidays to come.
Waiting is usually unpleasant, let alone if that timeframe separates us from Majorca, the paradise between the sea and the sky we were yearning for that we now miss more than ever. However, on behalf of Mon Port, we are willing to affirm word by word that waiting is sometimes worthwhile.
Majorca looks more beautiful than ever. For the record, its beauty was hard to get past. But we have to admit that this break has made the sea, the air, and that atmosphere that you can breathe in the streets look great.
That is why we would like to name a range of villages and spots in Majorca that will make your waiting worthwhile.
Port of Sóller
It is a small, peculiar and colorful fishing village. Its marvelous location, its smell of the sea, its promenade, and its natural elegance will make you fall in love with both its appearance and its history.
In summer nights, hearing “habaneras” from Port of Sóller’s beach will make you reconcile with life.
Banyalbufar
This literally sea nestled village is capable of charming the most skeptical. It maintains and preserves the spell of those innermost places that appear to be timeless.
Bathing in Banyalbufar Cove and getting rid of the salt in the water fountain descending from the mountain is one of the most delightful moments of the summer.
Sa Fonda – Deià
We dare to claim that Deià is one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. The sea, the mountain, the sky, and that bohemian air around that can be breathed in its cobbled streets.
One cannot go to Majorca and just ignore Sa Fonda, a legendary spot in which things taste better. Its now-legendary sign, Silence is sexy, contrasts with all that its four walls say.
Port Andratx
It is especially captivating. Its bohemian style mixes with fishermen, fishermen with visitors and visitors with locals. Everything and everyone have a place in this small port between the sea and the mountain.
