The most beautiful coves of Mallorca
Choosing a beach is as personal as choosing a car, a house or a restaurant.
Each one has its own values about beauty and perfection and, of course, each beach has its own special charm. Some will look for sand, others for rocks, some will prefer civilization while others will prefer to dive into the most unspoilt Mallorca, pure and far from the worldly noise.
Choosing the best beaches on Mallorca is a very complicated task. The 555 km2 of coastline means that we have a beach for almost every taste.
Beaches of fine sand, coves that make their way through the mountain, family friendly beaches and others for the more adventurous.
From MON PORT we have dared to chosen the five beaches we like the most.
Cala S’Almonia
In Santanyí, a village in the south of Mallorca, we find one of the most charming coves on the island.
Its water, with its crystal-clear colours ranging from turquoise to the intense blue with violet touches, its small fishermen's house and its dock, its corners and the freedom breathed between the mountains and the sea make Cala s'Almonia one of the most magical coves on the island.
Close by, just a few metres away, you will find Es Caló des Moro for all those who, whilst enjoying the same colour as the water, prefer sand to rock.
Playa Formentor
In Pollença, a village located in the north of the island, we come across the beach of Formentor.
A beach surrounded by an unspoilt landscape full of pine trees, nature and views to the Tramuntana.
Formentor is a long and narrow beach of calm sea and peaceful hours. Tranquillity prevails and rests in its fine sand and turquoise water.
Diving in its waters is like discovering a new world. Besides, if you are lucky and the day is good, you can even visit the neighbouring island of Menorca.
Cala Varques
In Manacor, a village situated in the east of the island, we find a treasure in the shape of unspoilt coves. Among them, one of the most special is Cala Varques.
A beach that can only be reached by boat or on foot through a path that seems to be made from a stream.
Thanks to the pirates and their multiple invasions during the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries this area remains almost completely unspoiled. Fortresses and “possessions” are the only constructions we will find on our trip to the precious beach.
The blue, green and turquoise tones of its clear waters will be the reward for a walk through the mountain. Its fine sand, caves and pines will do the rest.
Es Trenc
In Campos, a village in the south of the island, you will find Es Trenc, a natural paradise formed by extensive sandhills full of sea hollies, kilometres of fine, white and luminous sand and a clear water that has nothing to envy of distant paradises.
An unspoilt space far from the worldly noise in which you will confirm that Mallorca, in addition to many other things, is an earthly paradise.
